King Tepes is the second boss in Charlie Murder and the lead guitarist of the band Gore Quaffer. He is first encountered in Bullet Hell Hall. He is unavoidable and is along the storyline path. His name is taken from Vlad Tepes AKA Vlad the Impaler, the real life bloodthirsty Bavarian Prince who was the basis for Bram Stoker's iconic horror novel Dracula. His penchant for cruelty and viciousness was legendary.
He seems to have a relationship with fellow band member Circe Bathory. Who was also named after a prolific historical mass murderer. He even gets furious at her death at the hand of Lord Mortimer, attacks him and subsequently joins her in death.
King Tepes will be fairly challenging. He will grab and charge at the player initially. He will randomly twirl his axe and drop metal building frames all over the stage. Keep an eye out for the falling debris as you battle ninjas and the king himself. Frequently use your newfound anar-chi moves because besides swords and throwing knives (and ninja heads and limbs,) there aren't a lot of items around for you to get resourceful with.
During the second battle against Tepes, he will be teamed up with Circe. His moves will be all the same here. Don't focus on him however, because it is impossible to take him below the red health meter before it resets to slightly above the yellow.
- Most, if not all of the objects thrown into play by Tepes can be destroyed and picked up as props using the Silver Hammer relic.
- There is a glitch in the xbox demo.If you defeat him before he swings his axe the game will progress normally
